About The Artist
Hi, I'm Maria Attar, a self-taught artist based in Mumbai.
My relationship with paints began in 2021, with A gentle push from my sister, and the luminous work of Jimena Agra inspired me to pick up a brush again.

From the first touch, the medium felt unmistakably right: patient, immediate, and full of possibility.
The name Mauzart is woven from my parents' initials. They've been my biggest and best supporters, and in so many ways, they've nourished who I am. The name is my way of keeping them present in all that I create.

I am drawn to moments that pass too quickly, the glance of an animal, the quiet shift of light, a fleeting gesture. At its core, painting is how I make sense of myself and the world around me. It's where stillness, curiosity, and wonder meet.
